For many of our students to achieve this they need to be comfortable and in the best position to access learning. Students have detailed assessments to identify their specific needs and then individual programmes and recommendations are provided for them to follow.
This could include postural management through alternative positioning, exercises, various physical activities, passive ranging/stretches or accessing specialist equipment.
We have a broad range of skills to support our student group and liaise closely with other staff in college and external agencies, including wheelchair services and community therapy teams. We endeavour to support students in community-based learning as and when required, which may include activities such as horse riding and swimming.
